Partitions, layer pads and oil-bearing parts
Partitions keep individual components from grinding against each other during transit, and layer pads separate stacked tiers so weight is carried by the board structure rather than by the parts below. Where components carry residual cutting oil or grease, oil-resistant liners prevent that oil from weakening the board fibres from the inside.
Returnable multi-trip packs and bin integration
Many auto component supply chains use returnable corrugated bins that make several round trips between supplier and assembly line before replacement. These need heavier board, reinforced flaps and dimensions that match existing pallet and bin systems exactly, since a mismatch disrupts warehouse racking and line-side stacking.
